Cross-Sectoral Strand

The Creative Europe Programme comprises three strands:
-
the CULTURE Strand, which covers all sectors of culture and creation (with the exception of the audiovisual and cinematographic sectors);
-
the MEDIA Strand, which covers the audiovisual and cinematographic sectors;
-
the CROSS-SECTORAL Strand, which promotes collaboration between the creative sectors and covers the media sector.
Armenia has partially joined the Cross-Sectoral Strand of the Creative Europe Programme by hosting the Creative Europe Desk in Armenia.
In addition to the MEDIA and CULTURE Strands, Creative Europe includes a Cross-Sectoral Strand. As specified in the Regulation, the Cross-sectoral Strand aims to “explore the potential of collaboration between the different cultural and creative sectors and address the common challenges they face. A common cross-sectoral approach offers advantages in terms of knowledge transfer and administrative efficiencies”.
The Cross-Sectoral Strand mainly addresses the following actions:
-
Transnational political cooperation: promoting knowledge of the Programme and supporting the transferability of results,
-
Creative Innovation Labs: promoting innovative approaches to the creation, distribution and promotion of content, as well as access to it, in the cultural and creative sectors,
-
Media: supporting media literacy, quality journalism, media freedom and pluralism,
-
Funding of Creative Europe Desks (in Portugal: Creative Europe Information Centre).
Consult the different funding lines for information on objectives, eligibility criteria and evaluation criteria.
