Funding Opportunity: Circulation of European Literary Works (CREA-CULT-2027-LIT)

A new call for proposals for the translation, publication, distribution, and promotion of European literary works has officially launched under the Creative Europe programme.
The action is expected to support around 40 projects, implemented either by a single entity (mono-beneficiary) or by a consortium of organisations (multi-beneficiary).
Sector Priorities
Less translated languages: Promoting the diversity of European literature and enhancing the transnational circulation of works written in lesser-used languages.
Promoting reading: Expanding reach and increasing discoverability among broad audiences, especially younger demographics.
Valuing the translator’s profession: Ensuring fair remuneration and proper visibility for literary translators (publishers are encouraged to visibly credit translators on the cover and allocate 20–30% of the project budget to their fees).
Exclusively human translation: Machine translation is strictly excluded from this call.
Value-chain cooperation: Strengthening cooperation between writers, publishers, translators, booksellers, libraries, and literary festivals.
Support for Ukraine: Facilitating the translation and circulation of works to and from Ukrainian, as well as printing (non-translated) Ukrainian books for refugees and displaced individuals.
Eligible Genres: novels, short stories, poetry, theatre and radio plays, children and youth literature, comic books, and literary reportage.
